The Dillinger Group as a global player
03. April 2024
The Dillinger Group is one of the leading developers and constructors of large-scale PV carport projects in Germany and Italy. In Germany, the large-scale photovoltaic carports in Riedtstadt with 17.5 MWp and Hodenhagen with 10.6 MWp, which are currently under construction or in the process of being constructed, are likely to be among the top ten. In Italy, the large-scale photovoltaic carports in Lonato with 21 MWp and Piadena / Drizzona with a total of 17 MWp complete the portfolio, which is among the world leaders in terms of the size of carports.
The Dillinger Group began developing and constructing the largest photovoltaic carport in Piadena Cremona back in 2009 with 6 MWp. In 2013, the carport in Ceneselli replaced the former leader with almost 13 MWp. Nevertheless, it is safe to say that we have been a pioneer and leader in the planning, development, construction and operation of large photovoltaic carports for 15 years now.
Bavaria's largest solar carport with 21 MWp is currently being developed by The Dillinger Group in the municipality of Wolnzach and is due to be completed by mid-2026!
Ranking of the largest PV carport systems worldwide - The Dillinger Group is represented twice among the top 5:
- 35 MWp solar carport at the festival grounds of Solarfields and Lowlands in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands.
- 30 MWp solar carport above the parking lots of Disneyland in Paris, France.
- 21.71 MWp solar carport by The Dillinger Group on the parking lots of ARS Altmann in Lonato del Garda, Italy.
- 20 MWp solar carport on the parking lot of Maruti Suzuki at its plant in Manesar, India.
- 17.5 MWp solar carport by The Dillinger Group in Riedstadt, Germany.
