News in Lonato!!
21. August 2024In July 2024, test drilling was conducted in Lonato del Garda, Italy, to examine the soil conditions for the planned construction of our carport solar system. The designated site, owned by ARS Altmann AG, presents unique challenges due to its geological characteristics.
The area, like the nearby Lake Garda, was shaped by the Rhaetian Glacier, resulting in a partly loose substrate containing boulders that can weigh several tons. These test drillings are carried out to ensure the stability of the substructure.
For this purpose, boreholes are drilled at various depths, and profiles are inserted. Boulders with a diameter of up to 70 cm are penetrated during the process. The deepest test bore reaches 3 meters, followed by additional boreholes spaced 30 cm apart to determine the necessary foundation depth. A pull-out test with over 10 tons of force is then conducted to define the depth at which profiles and foundations remain securely anchored. In this way, the safety of vehicles and the solar installation is ensured.
