Finally a food supplier in Elfershausen again

Since the Schlecker drugstore had to close its branch, the residents of Elfershausen have been without any shopping facilities. There was a great desire for a new local grocery store.

The Dillinger Group has acquired the former Schäffler site in Elfershausen and is planning to revitalize the location in close cooperation with the municipality. With 12,000 m² of commercial and industrial space, the 35,000 m² site offers plenty of room for new companies to set up there. The urgently needed premises for an Tante Enso Mini Market will be provided by The Dillinger Group in the old canteen. Construction work has already begun. The remaining halls are to be rented out preferentially to regional companies.

The Dillinger Group is installing photovoltaic systems with an expected total output of 4 MWp on the roofs of all buildings on the site and in the adjacent so-called "Klingengraben". Electricity storage units and an e-charging station are also planned. The use of the area by The Dillinger Group significantly enhances Elfershausen as a business location, its local supply and energy generation, so that an amendment to the development plan is even to be decided.  

The aim is to market the electricity generated directly on site to future users and customers on the factory premises, a win-win situation for producers and consumers.
